I’ve always had a soft spot for bronze watches. There’s something cool about buying a watch that doesn’t stay exactly the same forever.
The Tudor Black Bay Bronze is probably one of the best examples of it. Over time, the case develops its own patina, and in a strange way it starts to feel a bit more yours.
This 2022 example is the slate / grey dial 79250BA, full set, and comes on the original leather strap. The strap shows signs of ageing, as they are known for, but it’s still serviceable, and I’ve also included a NATO strap as well.
The watch itself has that loved Black Bay feel, just with a bit more warmth and character than the standard steel models.
I think that’s the appeal. It’s not perfect and sterile. It’s a watch you wear, enjoy, and let it slowly become its own thing.
