My Thoughts
Hard to believe the king of chronographs once relied on someone else to power its flagship chrono!
But Rolex definitely picked the right manufacturer for the job, as zenith made something not only collectable, but as durable and reliable to match!
This S serial gets the Inverted 6 too. Look closely at the hour counter subdial and the 6 follows the dial around, leaving it looking like a 9 - a small little quirk that only happened for a short time and has become one of the defining details of the early Zenith Daytonas.
This one is really, really clean. Beautiful brushing, nice tight bracelet and that classic champagne dial with contrasting black subdials.
