I’m a Bond fan.
And honestly, I’m a sucker for all the gimmicks.
The old Quantum of Solace Planet Ocean with the printed crystal, the No Time To Die pho-tina, the little 007 references, the special editions… I’m all for them and I intend to own them all at least once.
So of course I had to have the 60th Anniversary.
Blue dial, blue bezel, mesh bracelet and the animated Bond caseback. Completely unnecessary. Very cool.
The best part though is that on wrist, it doesn’t actually feel gimmicky.
It just looks like a really clean, modern Seamaster.
No date, great dial, great bracelet, and just enough personality to make it feel different from the standard model without screaming “movie watch.”
That’s what I think Omega got right with this one.
Fun for the Bond nerds, but still a properly good watch if you completely ignore the Bond connection.
