For years the Pilot Chronographs sat around 43mm and up. Great watches… if you also happened to have forearms to match.
Then IWC released the 41.
Suddenly the Pilot made sense for almost everyone.
You still get everything people actually want from these. Big clean legibility, proper chronograph layout, day/date, enough presence to know you’re wearing a watch, but without half your wrist disappearing underneath it.
Blue dial on bracelet is probably the pick too.
This is a 2021 complete set running the in-house Cal. 69385, with adjustable clasp, quick swap strap (includes the genuine blue rubber strap too) and has just been checked over and authenticated by Max Schweizer in Sydney.
I honestly think these sit in a weirdly good place value-wise. Plenty of people chase the obvious names and end up spending nearly double. Meanwhile this quietly sits there being an absolute weapon of a daily.
