Maybe it’s the nerd in me, but if you’re going to buy the 50th anniversary Sea-Dweller, you want the actual anniversary year - and this is it!

Launched at Baselworld 2017 to mark exactly 50 years since the original 1665, the red “Sea-Dweller” text on the dial is a direct nod to the iconic Double Red Sea-Dwellers of the late 60s and 70s.

The 43mm is my personal favourite modern Rolex diver size and I don’t think it’s close. Bigger than the 40/41mm Sub which is great if you have a bit of a larger wrist like me, but nowhere near as thick as the Deepsea - it just wears right.  A watch that does everything and looks great doing it.
