This is watchmaking done right.
You might have heard of Parmigiani and not know much about them. Or maybe you’ve never heard of them at all.
But Parmigiani are one of the most vertically integrated manufacturers in Swiss watchmaking. In fact, they’ve supplied components and movements to numerous other brands over the years, including brands like Richard Mille.
These aren’t guys buying movements and sticking their logo on the dial.
They are the guys making the movements.
And the Tonda 1950 is a perfect example of what they’re capable of.
The craftsmanship is exceptional. Beautiful teardrop lugs, a stunning ultra-thin in-house micro-rotor movement and proportions that are about as close to perfect as you’ll find.
The more time you spend looking at this watch, the more little details you notice.
18k rose gold. Full set. In-house micro-rotor movement. The factory, buttery Hermés strap shows some signs of wear, but still perfectly serviceable for years to come.
Full sets on Chrono are currently sitting around the $16k-$22k mark before shipping and import duties. I think that’s a lot of watch for the money, and it’s priced to fly!
