Especially once watches start getting into this age bracket.

Because eventually you stop buying the reference and start buying the example.

This thing is just ridiculously clean.

No holes case, complete set - even the inclusions are the original and still look near new, stunning condition top to bottom, full Noble protective stickers still fitted and a Rolex Service Centre card from 2023 so the expensive stuff has already been taken care of. It’s even Australian delivered stock! 

The later 16710s are a really nice place to be.

You still get everything people love about five-digit Rolex. Aluminium bezel, slimmer case and that older Rolex feel, but with some of the refinements that came towards the end of production.

I also still think the Coke bezel deserves more attention than it gets, and I would just love to see them bring them back! 

This is just one of those watches where you can tell somebody cared about it, from the condition, the completeness, and the no money spared on stickers and servicing
