On today’s episode of I buy random cool stuff, i have this absolute banger of a Daytona featuring the rare and slightly controversial Tahitian Mother of Pearl dial.
Less subtle than the traditional white MOP variant, this dial is a full sensory overload! The colours shift constantly with greens, purples and pinks dancing across the surface. It’s one of those dials that simply refuses to photograph the same way twice!
This example is an F serial, placing it circa 2004, and it presents beautifully. It still retains its original caseback sticker and inner clasp sticker showing it’s been well cared for.
Condition wise, it shows only light surface hairlines and appears to remain unpolished, with strong lugs and crisp lines throughout, and as a bonus it’s fresh back from a service, so you can wear with piece of mind for years to come.
Priced thousands below comparable listings, this is one of the more interesting Daytona configurations out there. If you’re after something a little different from the usual black or white dial variants, this one has personality in spades!
