A proper neo-vintage gem.
I honestly don’t know why Rolex discontinued these, and I’d love to see them bring something like this back!
This is the 16710 Coke. While the Coke bezel was only ever offered on the 16710, it also came with a few meaningful upgrades over the earlier 16700.
What I like about these is the balance they strike. They’re new enough to wear every day without babying, but still have that neo-vintage cool from the 5 digit era- Slimmer case, aluminium bezel, drilled lugs, and proportions that fit a wide variety of wrists.
This one is a 2001 example presenting in excellent condition, and comes with box, papers, full links and even both hang tags!
On top of that, it’s always been a very liquid model if you’re not planning to keep it forever, which is never a bad thing.
